The Pipa

    When talking about East Asian musical instruments, what comes to your mind? There is a lot of instruments used by East Asians and when I say a lot, I mean a LOT. They have all kinds of musical instruments ranging from Percussion, Woodwinds and more. Today I will talk about The Pipa. This is a stringed instrument from China. And it is played for well over several hundred or even a thousand years. There is no exact date but its first mention of the Pipa in Chinese texts was in the 2nd Century A.D.
